Cobra Grande
Amazzonia, 2004. Manicoré, the centre of the Amazon rainforest. It takes two days to get there by boat, along the Rio Madeira, from Manaus. Varying shades of deep green and myriad rivers and streams create a breath-taking panorama, nature dictates its own rules and determines the life of the population, a symbiotic existence between man and nature. People live on the streets, the houses are too small, the families too large, and many young people migrate to the city. Most of the time, it is even more complex, so they go back on the boat to cut through the river's waters.
